I think he will be perfect for the show. The guy is definitely a car guy, he knows what he’s talking about, he has stage presence, and he knows how to drive. I think he’ll bring a lot of fun to the show. Also, my wife, who once told me that she never has regretted watching an episode of Top Gear, was very excited about him being on the show.

Now all they need is Jerry Seinfeld and we’ll have the complete collection of 90's sitcom-star gearheads.

Agreed. I think he will bring in a whole new set of fans who saw him in Friends, and I’m impressed enough with his car-guy status to watch. Also, he’s an actor, and given how scripted Top Gear is I’m sure he’ll be able to cope.

That would’ve been one hell of a cast for US Top Gear if they did that.

Tim Allen, Jerry Seinfeld, and Matt LeBlanc. I’d totally watch that.

He was a great actor. But he doesn’t seem to have any personality off stage. On almost any interview, including Top Gear, he seems so uninterested.

Yeah he can clearly be goofy (Joey) and he seemed funny when he was on the show as a guest. If we must have replacements I guess it could be much worse. I will still watch the three amigos on their new show. Hopefully the show they make on a private network can be even better.

He would be great actually, imagine CICGC with other cast members. I like Jerry, he would be so dry, I can just see his reactions to people. Hopefully they get him on as a guest, I am amazed he hasn’t been already with the old show.

Yeah Jerry is dry and smart, probably can drive too. Tim would be the Clarkson, loud and impulsive. Matt wouldn’t be Capt Slow but he is probably goofy and would like some of the same things Hamster does. Jerry would have to fill the role of professor that May does. The three guys leaving TG to do their own show have an amazingly well balanced trio.

I was surprised at how much I liked the guy when he made his TG and Lotus F1 appearances. I’m looking forward to it. Still home that Sabine gets the other slot.

Now I’m sad I’ll never get to see such a show! Jerry Seinfield with Tim Allen and Matt LeBlanc would be epic. I’d add Chris Harris for some order too.
